Education
Alex graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1996 with a B.A. in anthropology. She has a master's degree in anthropology from U.C. Davis. She also has a California teaching credential in English and social studies.
Experience
Alex taught ESL to adult Japanese students in Tokyo for a year. While in Tokyo, she co-hosted an NHK English show called "Just Be Yourself." She has also taught ESL to adult Korean students here in Los Angeles. Alex has also taught high school and middle school students in Burbank and Sylmar, CA. She has experience preparing students to take the CAHSEE. She also has experience working with students who have special needs. Alex speaks English, French, Spanish, some Thai, and some Japanese.
